Description
Ganja has been famous for high quality carpets for centuries. Butas (paisley symbols) woven along diagonal lines form the central part of the carpets known as ‘Ganja’- a design found only in these carpets.
Ganja was also the birthplace of great poets, and the literary centre of the country; this is reflected in the design of the model.
The city, located at the crossroads of caravan routes, has played an exceptional role in the socio-economic, political and cultural life of Azerbaijan.
