Description
This ancient ornamentation is known as the Chi element in China and symbolizes eternity. It is believed that this ornamentation became widespread in Azerbaijani folk art after Mongolian invasion and became popular in local decorations. Buludlu ornamentation was used in ceramics, metal products, architecture, carpet weaving and later in the design of miniatures and books.
