Description
This ancient ornament is known as “Chi” element in China and symbolizes eternity. It is estimated that this ornament was spread in Azerbaijani folk art with Mongolian invasion and became popular in local decorations. Buludlu ornament was used in ceramics, metal products, architecture, carpet weaving and later in the design of miniatures and books. The earrings are decorated by sapphires which symbolize stars.
