Description
‘I used to spend a lot of time with my grandma (we all called her “ana” which means mama in Azerbaijani) at village, especially during summer holidays. We had a tradition: at bedtime we ate village bread and yogurt and listened to my grandma’s fairytales. Dives (ogre), dragons, fairies, pehlivans. All the fairytales would end with the same traditional saying: “three apples fell from the above – “one is for me, the second is for story teller and the third one is for myself.”
That saying has been reflected on the design of this brooch which is dedicated to my grandmother and all grandmothers.’ – Rasmina Gurbatova, designer and founder of Resm.
