Description
‘I used to spend a lot of time with my grandma (we all called her “ana” which means mama in Azerbaijani) at the village, especially during summer holidays. We had a tradition: at bedtime, we had country tandir bread and yogurt and listened to my grandma’s fairytales. ‘Div’s (ogres), dragons, fairies, pehlivans and so on… All the fairytales would end with the same traditional saying: “Three apples fell from the above – one is for me, the second is for the story teller and the third one is for myself.” That saying has been reflected on the design of this earrings which is dedicated to my grandmother and all grandmothers.’
