Carpet – Ring

Description

The motif can be traced back to the early Medieval Turkish and Azerbaijani “Animal” rugs. Scholars explained the meaning of this motif from different perspectives: birds on tree, animal heads etc. It is also believed that this figure may represent a human embryo.
