Crivelli Star – Ring

Description

The carpets with this ornament are often considered as Ottoman Turkish carpets (one of the specimen dated 15th century is found at the Museum of Applied Arts in Budapest). But the largest groups of rugs bearing 16-point medallions are found in Caucasian carpets of Guba and Dagestani origin.
