Description

The name of Aghsu was first mentioned in the 16th century as a centre of trade and craftsmanship, and a number of craft workshops were found during archaeological excavations in Aghsu. Imported copper and iron was cut, carved, hammered and melted to make products of different types to meet market needs. A buta-shaped (paisley-shaped) forged copper piece with an image of a man carved on it has attracted particular attention. This image, some parts of which are reflected in the model, is thought to represent one of the distinguished warriors of the city.
